My name is Matthew Malith De Silva. I am a current first year undergraduate student at NYUAD intending to major in Mechanical Engineering. My primary interests lie in aerospace, aerospace propulsion and power generation.

In all of these fields, materials technology remains a bottleneck for advancement. From turbine fan blades, compressor blades, and flexible yet strong material for aerofoils, advancements in material science would not only advance these fields, but propel them into new eras.
